How does the process work?
Consultation: We begin with a free phone consultation. We’ll get an overview of your business and your thoughts on what you need in a website.
Proposal: Our web design experts will write a detailed proposal and estimate for your review. We work on a Time and Materials basis so the actual amount billed depends only on the actual hours worked. The amount will not go beyond the estimate without prior authorization. The process will be transparent, focusing on frequent and scheduled communication, so issues impacting budget or schedule will be brought to attention immediately and decisions can be made well ahead of time.
Proposal Approval: A 25% deposit is required upon approval of the proposal. From there we’ll get your project scheduled and started. Most projects can get started within 1-2 weeks of approval.
Design: A site map will be created and approved by you using information gathered from the consultation discussion as well as more detailed follow-up discussions. The site map is a list of all topics the website intends to cover, as well as the likely placement for each area of content. Once the sitemap is agreed upon, a prototype design for the website will be created and approved by you. It is at this stage where colors, fonts, logos, and general layout will be agreed upon.
Development: During this phase the sitemap and prototype, along with content from the existing website, logos, and photos will be used to create the fully functioning website. Our developers will work closely with you to review and provide feedback along the way.
Testing: Once development is complete a test version of the site will be made available to you. It is your responsibility to review and approve the website before it is converted to the live website.
Launch: The launch of the website will be timed to meet your business needs as best as possible. We also offer a free 30 minute customized training call to teach you how to keep your website content up to date.
